Ragi Cereal Rice

Jeevans Ragi Cereal Rice/ Decorticated Ragi contains an amino acid called tryptophan which lowers appetite and helps to keep weight in control. Ragi gets digested at a slower rate thus keep one from taking excessive calories. Fiber present in Ragi gives a feeling of fullness and control excessive food consumption. Ragi has a low glycaemic index compared to most other cereals, which decreases hunger by slowing down the rate of digestion.

Ragi is always pulverized in to flour and it is used for various food preparations. This also limits its diversified uses, because it cannot be cooked similar to rice, wheat or semolina. These limitations were overcomed by the technology developed at Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) Mysore. Its process is 100% natural and it retains most of the nutritional and medical characteristics of Ragi.

Preparation Method:
Decorticated Ragi/Ragi Cereal Rice is the best choice to make healthy porridge easily and quickly. After thorough washing it can be cooked in conventional method or microwave. It can also be used for preparing all those recipes that can be prepared with normal rice.For example, lemon rice, curd rice, tomato rice, fried rice etc.
